Ray's Journey

"Creativity is in the doing, not the done" Julia Cameron

Ray has always had a curious and creative mind, constantly exploring new artistic ideas and inventive creations. His passion for innovation has led to the development of several patented inventions, reflecting both his technical expertise and imaginative spirit.

Ray earned a degree in Electronics from the Ohio Institute of Technology and built a successful career in the high-tech industry, working with companies including Xerox, Brother International, Sun Microsystems, and Bell Labs. His background in computer technology, electronics engineering, and technical consulting continues to influence his artistic pursuits, where his analytical thinking and creative vision come together in his artwork and photography.

Since retiring, Ray has been busier than ever in his studio, continually learning, experimenting, and creating new works of art. His lifelong curiosity and passion for innovation remain at the heart of everything he creates.

One of Ray's most rewarding projects was photographing California's historic missions and producing a series of educational DVDs highlighting their history and beauty.

Each DVD features a concise history of the individual mission, accompanied by a musical slideshow that showcases its architecture, artwork, and unique character.

Ray documented nine California missions, and his DVDs are available for purchase in many of the mission gift shops throughout the state.

Below are some of Ray's photos from the California Missions.
