Inspiration Can Not Always Be Scheduled
Sometimes inspiration takes a while to arrive. It needs to be nurtured, given space to rest and develop, and allowed to find its own direction. We have to keep showing up, keep creating, and keep listening.

Sometimes inspiration takes a while to arrive. It needs to be nurtured, given space to rest and develop, and allowed to find its own direction. I’ve come to believe that some things simply require the time they take.
I have always processed the world through art, music, and writing. Creating helps me make sense of events, emotions, and the experiences that shape my life.
My little brother passed away six years ago, and over the years I tried many times to write about him. But the words never felt right. Perhaps only time and distance could tell his story, and I simply wasn't ready yet. The inspiration was still forming, moving quietly through my heart and mind, until one day it was finally ready to be born.
Inspiration is funny that way. We have to keep showing up, keep creating, and keep listening. Sometimes the story arrives only when we're finally ready to tell it.
Though Denn is no longer with us, he remains forever in my heart, and all the hearts of those who knew him. I wrote this song "Our Golden Boy" in loving memory of him.
